Disneyland (1 of 3)!

Our 3 days in Disneyland were nothing short of amazing.  I'm pretty sure nothing beats seeing it through your child's eyes.  Kyle was in pure fascination mode the entire weekend.  And enough that only cat naps got him through to past 11 pm each night (midnight our time!).  We got the Park Hopper so that we could bounce between the two parks (a great idea because we wouldn't have needed an entire day at California Adventure but we enjoyed many of the rides there).  Here are some pictures from the weekend:

It's a Small World: Kyle stared in amazement at all of the animotronics.  He would stare with his mouth wide open, point, and giggle.  And clap.  It truly lived up to all the hype.

Haunted Mansion:  So this ride is often rated as scary for 1 year olds, but Kyle thought differently.  Each time the ghosts would do something scary, he would clap his hands.  And giggle.  I love that he doesn't have any concept yet for what is scary.

Kyle located his first characters-- the Hundred Acre Forest gang.

Tigger was one of his favorite animals-- he was quite animated and Kyle was entertained by that.

He was pretty indifferent with regards to Eeyore (must be his personality?)

Winnie the Pooh was a hit of course.

And Goofy had to have made the top 2.  He was nearly jumping out of my arms trying to pounce on him.

Every character that had a nose had to be warned.  It was the first thing Kyle would go for.  Quite hilarious!

Other rides we enjoyed at Disneyland:
Captain EO 3D show (even Kyle sat through MJ's dancing!)
Storybook Land Canal Boats (Kyle enjoyed this far more than mommy and daddy did)
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
The performers at the Golden Horseshoe
Space Mountain & Splash Mountain
Indiana Jones (one of my favorites!)
Astro Blasters (where Kyle and I had fun pushing the 'spin' button to cause our cart to do loops that made Daddy miss shooting targets and getting a record high-score)
Star Wars Tours
Pirates of the Caribbean (more on this in a future post)
Winnie the Pooh
Carousal
Tiki Room (more on this later)
Jungle Cruise (even Kyle laughed at our boat guide's humor)
Toontown
and others I can't remember...
