Fox Glacier

After loads of rain and lots of driving, we reached Fox Glacier just as the weather began to clear up. The rain had increased the height of water in the creek that flowed from the glacier, but there were plenty of giant rocks that allowed us to cross without getting our feet too soaked.

The hike to the terminal of Fox Glacier was a fairly short one, but allowed us to see the blue ice up close. We asked a man to take a photo of us in front of the glacier-- too bad he pointed in the slightly wrong direction! As we hiked on the rocks closer to the terminal, we managed to track down a man with the same camera as us.
He did a much better job! We didn't have time to do the day-long glacier treks, but we felt satisfied (probably because of all the glacier activities we did in Alaska) as we left for the Franz Josef glacier.
