Autumn in Arrowtown

Arrowtown is a quaint hillside town made historic for it's gold mining and is now a relaxing community that is just absolutely vibrant in autumn. Located only about 30 minutes from Queenstown, we had arrived just a week or two early for peak fall colors, but it was nonetheless breathtaking. We purchased take-away at the Shed and made a picnic in the local park. We enjoyed the crisp fall air and eachothers company. Sometimes it really is the simple things in life!

On our way out of town, we drove to Queenstown by way of steep canyons, mountains, and of course sheep! Dave promised me that he would let me stop at some point in the trip to get my sheep shots and he did! They are just so cute! To NZ'ers, I suppose it's like someone here photographing cows, but I didn't care!
