Dave's cousin Scott and his wife Jessie are moving out to Boulder shortly. They were out here house hunting this past weekend and had some time to meet up with us. We met halfway in Golden for pizza at the wonderful Woody's pizza. Kyle was a HUGE fan of Jessie-- she had him smiling cheek to cheek!

More Playdate fun!
A fellow nursing mom from church invited Kyle and I over for a nice brunch and playdate today. While Kyle had a blast with all of the kiddos, he had the most fun with big Kyle and Matson. Kyle would jump and giggle constantly when big Kyle interacted with him. And of course, Mats is always a hit. Mats and Kyle are only 4 days apart and spend lots of time playing together at church. Mats is so tolerant to let Kyle try to suck on his arm. They are just so sweet together! They are definitely best buds!

Family Photos!
After the dedication and brunch, we all went to my parents house to kill a bit of time before Brian had to go back to the airport. We took some group photos and watched the Packers play. It was a fun afternoon!
Kyle's Dedication
Today we had Kyle dedicated at church. We made a promise to God to do everything in our power to raise Kyle to know Him. Kyle was one of half a dozen babies who were dedicated this morning and he did very well. We're so thankful that so much of our family came to support. David's brother and parents flew in from MN and IA and my grandpa flew from WI to be there. Not only was Kyle the cutest baby on stage, he had the most supporters too!
We treated everyone to a very fancy brunch afterwards at the Denver Fresh Fish Company. It was fantastic!

Four Generations
Kyle's Great Grandpa flew ALL the way from WI to visit us for the weekend. I could tell it made him very happy to get to meet our little man. I thought it was so special to be able to take a four generations picture. Kyle may not have realized the significance of this, but someday we will be sure to share it with him.

Five Years!
Dave and I celebrated five wonderful years of marriage today. I still can't believe "five years from tomorrow" is already here. We've had an amazing marriage thus far and I feel so blessed to have a wonderful man whom I call husband and father. He's truly my perfect match!
Here are a few of the many things we enjoyed together the past 5 years:
Our perfect wedding day (September 23, 2006)
Celebrating our one year anniversary in the state we now call home, Colorado (Maroon Bells - Aspen, 2007)
Taking a vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii to celebrate two years of marriage (2008)
Spending two beautiful weeks exploring Alaska and Canada (2009)
A three week vacation to the other side of the world -- New Zealand and Australia (2010)
Spending a wonderful afternoon with our 5-month old son reflecting on all that we are thankful to have (September 23, 2011)

Uncle Brian Visits!
We all had a blast with Uncle Brian this past week who flew from MN to be with us. Dave enjoyed running & swimming with him and Kyle enjoyed his silly antics. We tried hard to sell Brian on moving here so that we could share these fun times more often but we were unsuccessful. :( Here are a few pictures from Uncle Brian's visit:

I'm growing up!
Because I'm so short, mom has to place textbooks underneath my jumperoo so that I may bounce around til I giggle. I have a ton of fun with all the little noise-makers and colorful lights. I love that it plays music everytime I jump!
Kyle's First Music Festival
Even though Kyle enjoyed concerts while he was inside my tummy, this past weekend was his first time at a "concert" since he was born. Our neighborhood had it's first annual music festival. It featured 10-some bands, lots of booths, food, and crafts. We tried to stay for the last band but Kyle just got too tuckered out. He still very much enjoyed it!

Friday Funday
Thanks to Grandma, we spent our off-Friday golfing again. Kyle had a great time doing tummy time with "Me," giggling at Meeko, and falling asleep in Grandma's arms. She even took him for another stroll around her neighborhood (psst, I think she likes "showing" him off to her neighbors). We capped the evening off with dinner at Saltgrass. After putting Kyle to bed, Dave and I enjoyed ice cream with a rented movie. What a great day it was!
